CMCE Activities

We've got big plans for 2008! Read below for information on what's happening in your area. Contact Jessica with questions or for more information.

Clean Elections Action Week November 12-16, 2007

Visit www.fairelectionsnow.org to check out what Clean Elections activists will be doing all across the country, and click here to find out how you can get involved!

In 2007, Governor Eliot Spitzer became New York’s # 1 supporter of full public financing of elections. He is working to get big money, special interests OUT of New York State politics! Assembly members around New York State are right there with him. Click here to check out if your Assembly representative has signed on!

If we are going to win Clean Elections in New York, the State Assembly must PASS a Clean Money, Clean Elections bill in 2008’s legislative session We need ALL the Assembly members on board! Only YOU, the VOTERS can make that happen. The campaign contributors and lobbyists in Albany certainly aren’t lining up to help the cause…it’s GOT TO BE YOU!

Make November 12-16 the time that you TAKE ACTION on New York’s Clean Elections campaign! Here's what to do:

Please e-mail us to let us know what work you are doing!

Grassroots Lobby Visits:

Although many leaders met with local legislators this spring, it is vital that we continue to show growing constituent support of CMCE to our legislators.  CMCE regional leaders need to recruit new constituents to visit with their legislators in Fall 2007 and encourage their support for FULL public financing legislation.

For more information about these events, contact Jessica Wisneski, Citizen Action of New York’s statewide CMCE Coordinator at 518-465-4600 ext.109.
