Citizen Action of NY Announces:

A Public Hearing on Universal Health Care in New York State

Monday, October 29, 2007

7:00PM
Family Partnership Center
(29 N. Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY)

This fall, New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer’s Department of Health and Department of Insurance are holding Public Hearings to “solicit input on the development of proposals for achieving health system reform, increasing access to health insurance coverage and moving toward universal healthcare coverage in New York.” (www.partnership4coverage.ny.gov).  They are asking for testimony from health care providers, patients, consumer advocates, business owners and all community members.

Because no public hearing was located in the Hudson Valley, Citizen Action of New York is hosting one.  Members of Governor Spitzer’s Partnership 4 Coverage panel will be on hand to hear our community’s members testify in regard to creating a system of Universal Heath Care in New York State.  The hearing is open to everyone.  Those interested in testifying must sign up in advance by calling: 845-246-3271.  Testimony is limited to 8-minutes per person.  Time is limited, so please sign up today.
