Financial Manager

Citizen Action of New York is one of the fastest-growing statewide grassroots organizations in the country.  We fight for social, racial and economic justice, in an America that works for all of us.  We work at the grassroots level to give people a sense of their own power.  We collaborate with organizations and coalitions in communities throughout New York to win on key issues and elect progressive candidates at the local, state and federal levels.

Citizen Action of New York is seeking a Financial Manager to handle accounts payable, receivables, purchasing, payroll, general ledger reconciliation, monthly financial reporting and analysis, journal entries, inter-company transactions, and government and private grant reporting.  Ideal candidate must have a “can-do” attitude and ability to work in a collaborative manner with all regional, program, and organizational staff.  Must have proven accounting, grant reporting, and computer skills.   Prior experience with QuickBooks and multi-company accounting is preferred.

Coalition for After-School Funding (CASF)

In New York State hundreds, even thousands, of children return to empty homes after school hours without the benefit of quality after-school programs to attend. After-School programs have proven to help encourage these children to stay out of drugs and early pregnancy, maintain focus and interest in their studies, even apply for college.
